Censorship of the Internet casinos by the Turkish government is increasing. To protest it, over 500 big Turkish websites have been closed.

The Turkish government shut down access to YouTube after discovering videos offending Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey. After that approximately 853 international websites have been blocked by the government in Turkey.

And there is an opinion that online gambling has no chance in Turkey as well especially after the arrest of two employees of the online sports betting website Sportingbet who were booked in Turkey during their vacation. Moreover, some 37 people working for the company’s Turkish office have also been detained.

“Unauthorized” companies offering gambling services to Turkish citizens are banned. Now, there are only a few online casinos operating at the Turkish market, but they are not present in the country.
